Handcrafted leather artistry inspired by the Australian landscape
About the artist
Australian artist living and creating in the beautiful Eurobodalla Nature Coast on the far south coast of NSW. I design and make soft leather bags and leather jewellery incorporating fine quality marine and exotic leathers.
"I like experimenting with textures & colour, using some original techniques. My inspiration comes from art, the various Australian landscapes from the desert to the sea and also fashions past and present.
I studied art & textile crafts, architectural drafting and took masterclasses in leather craft.
I have exhibited my leather creations in many group and solo exhibitions and festivals throughout Australia for over four decades. I have been an Artist in residence at Uluru & designed beautiful bags incorporating opals for an opal company. I have had two of my own galleries and since 2012 have been a member of Artisans Nest Inc. exhibiting in their gallery collective. I also annually curate exhibitions at the Artisans Nest for the annual River of Art festival".
